Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh (Associate Professor & Head)
Dr. Vijay Kumar Singh is presently heading the School of Corporate Law as Associate Professor in Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), a think-tank and capacity building institute under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India.

Prior to joining IICA, Dr. Singh has worked with the Competition Commission of India (CCI) as Deputy Director (Law). During this stint for about five years with the Regulator, Dr. Singh has worked in the Legal Division and has been actively involved with the capacity building and advocacy activities of the Commission. Dr. Singh is a doctorate in law with basic degree in science followed by degrees in law with Gold Medals in his LLB and LLM examinations from Nagpur University. Dr. Singh has authored a book titled "Corporate Power to Corporate Crimes: Understanding Corporate Criminal Liability in India" which is an enhancement of his Ph.D. Thesis.

Prior to joining CCI, Dr. Singh was associated with University of Petroleum and Energy Studies (UPES), Dehradun and Hidayatullah National Law University (HNLU), Raipur as a faculty in corporate laws and securities regulations. As a faculty of law, Dr. Singh has taught several subjects of corporate laws and has been instrumental in drafting syllabus of various courses and programs. Dr. Singh has also been a Law Clerk to Hon'ble Justice B.R. Gavai and Hon'ble Justice V.A. Naik, at the High Court of Judicature Bombay: Nagpur and also had a brief stint of professional practice in High Courts and Tribunals at Nagpur in the office of Sr. Adv. Subodh Dharmadhikari.

Dr. Singh is a certified trainer on "Managing Disputes and Difficult Conversations on the Board" by Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) and a mediator by ICADR. Dr. Singh has written a number of articles on different topics like sports law, money laundering, corporate governance, environmental law, CSR, competition, business and human rights, and international trade/economic law. He has participated and presented papers in a number of national and international seminars/conferences/workshops. He is an invited resource person for courses on completion law and policy, international trade laws and corporate affairs in institutions of repute. Dr. Singh has been judge for semi-final rounds of many prestigious moot courts like Hidayatullah National Law Moot Court Competition, NLU Jodhpur Antitrust Law Moot Court, Jindal Global Intra Moot, Amity Law School Moots, and Henry Dunant International Humanitarian Law Moot Court. His present areas of interests include competition law, corporate and securities law, international trade and economic law, comparative business laws including IPR and Competition, ADR and legislative policy and drafting. Dr. Singh is the Life Member of Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), the Indian Society of International Law (ISIL) and The International Centre for Alternative Dispute Resolution (ICADR).


Dr. Pyla Narayana Rao (Assistant Professor)
Dr. Rao is an Assistant Professor with School of Corporate Law at IICA. He completed LL.M. and Ph.D. from NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad. Prior to Joining IICA, Dr. Rao has assisted the M.K. Nambyar SAARC Law Centre at NALSAR University of Law as a Research Associate from 2009 to 2013. He was the co-editor of the M.K. Nambyar SAARC Law Centre newsletter and assisted the Centre in conducting International Conferences, National Workshops and Monthly Seminars. He has taught Comparative Corporate and Competition Laws and International Commercial and Business Laws to Post Graduate students at NALSAR. He also worked as an Assistant Professor at School of Law, GITAM University, Visakhapatnam from 2013 to 2014. His areas of expertise and interest are Corporate Law, International Trade Law and Competition Laws.
